Thought you would like to see these.
Mother and baby doing fine.
How's that for a tortoise?
how cool! Thanks a bundle for thinking of me.. They aren't mother or daughter though believe it or not.. the 'Daugher' is a Sulcata (Geochelone Sulcata) and the larger one is an aldabran tortoise :p015:
pmsl- not slapping you, im SO pleased that you thought of me.. really was a nice thought! :p015:
The bigger one will be as big as it looks... it has some growing to do too. The smaller one is deformed, its probably had a bad diet when young, as the newest growth is smoother
Good heavens Josh, you really do know your torts. You are going into science or biology aren't you?
They are so freaking cute! Thats why he loves them! I grew up around Desert tortoises..had one as a pet (before they became endangered...) as a kid. They are amazing to watch!!
hmm... I pondered the idea of training as a vet surgeon but didn't want to in the end. I want to work in advertising when I'm older, I LOVE biology though.. got two A*'s in it in my Yr10 GCSE.Originally Posted by Tink, post: 16807
