    According to AP Press the Coast Guard has stated the rig wasn't currently producing.

    Yes, just saw this... :( No oil yet. Let's hope it stays that way. Regardless, the time to stop this nonsense is NOW. No more drilling in the gulf. Done.

    An updated report states that it was producing. There is now an oil sheen about a mile long and 100 feet wide coming from the exploded rig.

    The "good news" is that this is only drilling in 354 feet of water and would be much easier to fix and clean up than the BP rig.

    Yes, don't you love the misinformation in this, the Information Age.

    More oil, more environmental damage... not a good thing at all. The last thing the faltering economy needs (especially Florida where things are pretty darn rough already) is more problems from something like this. :(
