Aww, thanks Michelle, my boys are big now so we don't have to worry about bits getting broken and the house wrecked

Everyone has such a lovely home and tree!

We have yet to get ours up. Hoping for tomorrow. Not sure if I can figure out how to get a photo of it here. Still can't get the Mac to work with photos since the upgrade.

But it will be quite similar to years past... I have a shot of last year's on my facebook profile...

Welcome to our new home! It's a lovely and friendly place. If you haven't joined yet, do register. It's a great place to make friends and share all those Disney secrets!!

I'll contribute a bit of ours! Just a quick snap with my iPhone.

Here's the Christmas tree, one of DW's dolls, presents, Santa Claus on the mantel, stockings hung by the chimney with care, snow falling outside the window, and of course, the dog!

We've got a set of gas logs in there burning merrily! Much easier than regular wood. Also safer. About this time last year, we were sitting there in this room when all of a sudden, we heard what sounded like a rocket take off right outside. Turns out it was our next door neighbor who, after many years of burning wood in his fireplace, suddenly had a chimney fire ignite!
That was the sound we heard. Fortunately, the fire department arrived very quickly and got it out without them having any significant damage. But it kind of scared us. So, we had the chimney cleaned, put in the gas logs, and have been happy ever since.

And thanks for the comment about the chimney. When we bought the house, that's one of the things that really sold it for us. That's a stacked stone fireplace that goes up two stories to the top of the vaulted ceiling.

    Tom (... warm and toasty!)
