Got home last night after trudging through the snow to find that we had had a hour of melt earlier in the day and then a rapid drop in temperature to about -5 we had quite a few icicles about and our downpipe had an inch of ice all around it
So I decided to have a play with the flashgun once more in the pitch dark , so there I was at 10 pm up to my knees in snow taking pictures of the end of my shed, how we suffer for our art eh? lol
Anyway glad I did now as by midnight it had shot up to 5 degrees and it was all gone by morning , now sat going through the pics in the midle of the most torrential rainstorm, garden is now mud.
These were just to show the downpipe, should have done more as it was so pretty, shame I wasn't home at sundown
Then I tried to get the icicles on the shed to glow, not had much success using the flashgun off camera up until now, pretty happy with these. One hand held the camera in cold shaking hands the other held the flash jammed under the eaves of the shed.
Could only last about 20 minutes before everything started going small and blue
Same icicle with slightly different flash settlings
Think I prefer the slightly darker one
