The brilliant Stephen Mangan headed an astonishingly good cast in a cracking adaptation of these often overlooked Adams classics - Sure it will be up on iPlayer if its not already - if you missed it do give it a look - very very funny and so much better than most of the pap on the box recently

So... how was the sofa last night. Still there I presume?

Tom ( ... there is neither up the stairs, nor down the stairs. Only there.)

I really hope you get to see it Tom it was brilliantly realised do hope they show it on a less marginal channel at some point as well.

You are a clever chap I'm sure there is some way you can sort out a proxy server so you can watch the BBC iPlayer

Perhaps so. I'll have to give it some additional thought. I know there's some of them around. Just have to hunt them down!

    Tom ( ... proxy hunting!)

Dirk trying to find Henry the Cat

There is much media hubbub after last nights ep and calls from many - mostly geeks :D for a series

Hopefully this will mean that at last they will be recognised and read as being brilliant works of fiction in their own right and not forever held in the shadows of Hitchikers

Only managed to find the trailer on Youtube so far. Looks brilliant!

I totally missed this and arrived home this morning to a flurry of emails telling me to go look at iplayer (which I haven't yet done).

I really enjoyed the books and always felt they'd been horribly neglected by a media always hungry just for "more of the same".

I even got to discuss the matter, briefly , with the great man himself when he called a previous company for tech support with his internet connection which we were supplying. It didn't help that he knew more about his macs than our "experts" did at the time though so he wasn't in the BEST of moods.

Anyway, definitely one I'll be watching and Tom, if you can't find it, the guys at work are brilliant at transferring content into ipad compatible files. I'd be very surprised if they couldn't get it for us.
