Just in case you have seen the Queensland flood news and are worried!

I am fine - my backyard is a lake but we are ok!

All my family around Brisbane are ok, we are just a bit apprehensive, but so far all is good. Luckily my brother-in-law who works in Toowoomba is on holidays so he wasn't in his office yesterday. That could have been really bad!

I am moving stuff to my upstairs just in case!

If it would just STOP RAINING!!!

    It's really eerie this morning.

The sun is now shining, the birds are singing, and it is quiet because all the trains are cancelled. The small amount of water at my place has gone down a little overnight, hope it keeps going away.

I am working from home today as they are cutting off power to the centre of the city as a precaution, and basically they don't want anyone on the roads who doesn't have be there. (and it's hard for me to get there with no trains in any case!)

But to look out my window you wouldn't know that not far from me, roads are cut, rivers and creeks are swollen, and the worst is yet to come for many folks.

    It feels really strange.

Please keep my fellow Queenslanders in your thoughts.

Been watching it and it's a really terrible situation, heartbreaking for everyone who has lost their home, and some their lives. Very sad.

    Keep safe Kazza
