Gosh Claire, it's been down so long (10 years or so we put it down) I don't remember the type of wood it is but I think it's mahogany

We don't have anything on it ( no rugs or anything) The thing you have to be careful off is stiletto heals, so I don't let anyone walk on it in them although it's got lots of scratches now anyway what with being the parents of 3 boys....

With regards to the paper, I really love feature wallpaper and as long as you offset it with a neutral paint or paper, it looks really effective. Most people only do it on one wall but our room is a nice size so we can get away with 2 walls.

Once you have decided on a coulor scheme it's easy to sort out and as it's mostly painting it doesn't take long to do a room.

Oh, I've been working very long days for a little over three months now. I've not had much free time, and when I do, it's spent on running errands and catching up with my home life.

I am so not complaining though. I love the work, and the responsibility!

I've spent the last week in California for work seminars, and meetings. The hotel had no decent internet connection! Made for a long week, and frustrating too!

I miss everyone here so very much.
