Thread: Monkees to tour the UK

    I can't believe the Monkees are going on tour in the UK. I guess they have 10 shows planned. It's in honor of their 45th anniversary.

    I would love to go, but seeing that I live in IL it will not be happening. Bummer.

    I wonder if they will tour the US? I saw them back in 1985 or 1986.

    they were on a programme here last night promoting it, they seem a bit nuts to me!!

    Did one look old? I did not recognise them first of all. Think I would rather go and watch Squeeze at Rochester Castle Gardens this summer!

    My mate worked in a quiet little pub in the new forest, so during the uni holidays I used to go over and sit in the bar whilst he was serving ( seemed rude not to) and keep him company. Davy Jones sat next to me and I bought him a pint and we nattered for most of the afternoon, said he couldn't see any reunion happening back then but it was the early 90's

    Ha, I had just been looking at the website for tour dates. Sadly, I can't go to any. :(
    How is it that I can still remember and sing all of their early songs but I can't remember what I did last week?
