    ... and a few more

    Ruffled by the wind

    Kestrel

Maggie the hooded Vulture that my boys flew

And the fluffiest nose you ever did see..

Og and this is Bodium Castle - only shot without too many people around it today I'm afraid

Your photos are fantastic Chris, especially when viewed on the iPhone 4 retina display

The colours in the mallard pic remind me of the stock image of the peacock feather that comes with the iPhone actually

Cheers Josh. Much happier taking pics like these. A good time of year to take shots of birds plumage if the sun ever comes out. This is the time of year they are trying to impress the ladies ;)

Ah yes, a sure fire tactic that, this strategy had secured me the amorous attentions of nearly one lady of the female persuasion in the last 25 years

yep, point well made. Back to the plumage idea then. Wish I'd paid more attention watching blue peter now!

You know, a tray of 1 shots on student nights is a much cheaper and a lot less hassle than plumage and/or BMWs.

Oh... On this theme... Lying on your tummy in the freezing cold with a long camera lens, fingerless gloves and a camo thermalite hat waiting for minutes on end for a tiny bird to turn his head slightly so a catchlight sparkles and you fire the shutter whilst praying you have the right camera settings... Then going home and spending hours farting about with 3 post processing software programmes , getting it so you are reasonably happy, uploading to flickr then subsequently unloading to a forum - is another surefire way to make the opposite sex practically faint with lustful thoughts
