One of our favorite places is Captain Hiram's. It's about a 10-minute drive from the resort. Not sure about their lunch menu, but they have a good dinner menu and the sandbar is hopping on Friday and Saturday nights!

There's also a few decent places in downtown Vero Beach itself. We were going to dine at one spot but it was so crowded we ended-up a second night at Hiram's :-)

You are very welcome. It may not be the best seafood in town or may not be the best seafood you've ever eaten, but it's a quaint, cool place with really good food and on a Friday or Saturday evening when there's live entertainment at the sandbar, it's the perfect place to be!

You know? For all the times we've been to Vero (well, Orchid Island, Disney's Vero) we've never dined elsewhere? We either cook in our villa, or have our meals on property.

Might need to explore a time or two. When we are there we are so into the beach, we forget there is a world "out there."

Welcome to our new home! It's a lovely and friendly place. If you haven't joined yet, do register. It's a great place to make friends and share all those Disney secrets!!

Sonya's at Vero Beach was incredible - definitely the best meal of our recent vacation. The Pan Seared Jumbo Scallops were incredible, and I normally do not eat scallops - they were THAT good!

When we were at VB in 2009 we were recommended a restaurant by some locals.
It is called "Pearl" and it is located along the seafront road that passes through the town although it was not actually overlooking the sea.
Dinner was really good and is recommended.

Sadly, according to the Web Site it has closed.

Darn it! That`s such a shame as it was one of those places where it is hard to get a table unless you have a reservation, such was it`s popularity.
Sign of the times I guess.
