Thread: Flower Power Concert Series 2012 at Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

    Some early details are surfacing about the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot which runs from March 7th to May 20th.

    Early dates for the Flower Power Concert Series to be performed during the 2012 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival are showing up already on pollstar

    • March 31 - April 1: The Spinners
    • April 7: Chubby Checker & The Wildcats
    • April 14: Paul Revere & The Raiders
    • April 21 - 23: The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie

    All dates and performers are subject to change.

    Time for EPCOT to change it up a bit. These are the same performers (with the exception of the Spinners) year after year after year. Continuity is nice, but with this sort of thing it borders on boring.

    Yeah. Paul Revere and the Raiders are getting a little worn around the edges.

    I mean, I've only seen them about a thousand times since the 60's. I like their music but enough is enough. I do understand the marketing tie in with the "Flower Power" concert series and the bands of that era but perhaps it's time to freshen things up just a bit. Or maybe change over to a whole new theme.
    Disney's smart. I'm sure they could come up with something.

    And no, believe me, I don't mean add "Fankie Valli and the Four Seasons" to the bill either. It's so hard for them to perform anymore with those walkers.
