Ahhh... speaking of movies and good things.

DW and I popped off to the cinema yesterday morning to take in the early showing of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. We'd been planning to do this since last week. We had never seen the first movie in the series so rented it from Amazon Instant Video to make sure we got to see the first one first. Not that there's a specific order to them or anything. My DW just really likes to do things in order.

Anyway, we had an excellent time and really enjoyed the movie.

    The End?

Tom (... if you've seen the movie, you get it.)

Billie, I'm looking forward to hearing more about your recovery. I hope that things aren't too uncomfortable for you during this time

Good things today...this may sound a bit mean, but today Mr Deb's son and girlfriend went home after being here for three days and we get some time on our own! Hurrah! Even Mr Deb is happy.....they stayed in bed till 2 each day, then got up and had "breakfast", before diving into our wine supplies for the rest of their waking hours If we had been socialising together for more than 4 hours a day then it may have been different. We must be getting to be grumpy old people

And today we got an email from the National Donkey Sanctuary to say that they think we may be suitable to foster two of their donkeys on a long term basis (they take in abused and unwanted donkeys) and they will come out to check us and advise what to do next very soon

I would like to add to the movies: I watched two movies today.
    1. Hangover II (eh, okay, like the first one)
    2. The Rise of the Planet of the Apes (so horribly sad, I knew I wasn't going to like it)

We just got back from spending new years at a local state park. There were 4 extended families sharing the six bedroom lodge. We had a fantastic time and crammed great eating, nature walks, sky watching, lawn darts, board games, grilling and sampling of lots of adult beverages.

DD wanted to watch some of our old movies from previous trips to Disney...so this evening we watched our 2004 April trip to WDW. Alex was about 14 then

We are getting ready to pack bags tomorrow and get ready for the trip! Getting up at like 4 dark thirty for our trip to the airport. Can't wait.

Today I'm going for Lasik. I would like to tell you how it went once I'm home, but I don't think watching tv, reading or being on the net is allowed.

I have seriously no idea what I'm going to do today after surgery. A nap for sure, but what then?

    Glasses will be gone today!
FANTASTIC news Billie! Hope it went well. I will no doubt be asking you for support as I need to schedule my cataract surgery soon.

Now that's my kinda vacation....a lodge with all those activities. Sounds wonderful.

I am up at 4 dark twenty every morning for work. So remember you guys will not be the only ones awake. :D

Word of advice. Less knowledge is better. No need for details. Seriously. And don't even think of googling the procedure.
