It's a tricky one to choose, because if we were having some fancy breads like ciabatta, I would say something like a parma ham, buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil, drizzled with olive oil. On sliced brown granary bread it has to be peanut butter and honey, and on sliced white bread it's ham, brie and cranberry sauce!
Without the sauerkraut it isn't much more than a corned beef sandwich.

I WISH I could get a NY Deli Corned Beef on Rye around here. I'll bet it is overstuffed too.

John I am a big guy and it is very filling. A half is enough but of course I don't stop there. It is about 15 dollars a sandwich. It is my favorite sandwich by far.If you are ever in NY I will meet you there and buy you one.

Seems alot of people round here like rye bread, something ive never tried. I like good old plain white bread - not particularly great for you, but i love it!

    I wanna come too!

Wish we still had out Katz deli down here in Atlanta. Don't know if it was the same family or not but the food there was exceptional! Best dill pickles in the known universe!

You're on. Years ago we had a deli here in Northern Virginia called Carnegie Deli. They used to do a corned beef sandwich that sounds like yours. I think it was about $12.00 back then.

I have no problem spending 15 dollars for a Katz sandwich however my wife would never spend that much on a sandwich. After all this talk I may have to stop by there this week.

We also have a Carnegie Deli here, I ate there about 20 years ago with my dad and his business partner. They ordered and the bill was 100 dollars. I remember thinking to myself that the bill was insane and was thankful that dad was paying. At that time I was a rookie cop making peanuts.
