    Things sure must have changed since I had something shipped over from the US a few years ago.
    At the time we splashed out on an expensive [very !] item from Wyland Galleries, and when it was sent the only thing we had was a call from the couriers telling us that it had arrived and asking us to collect it from their depot and pay them a paltry amount for customs duty.

    According to parcelforce there is a 'massive' queue in customs at the moment

    they will also charge you at leas 40 import + other duties for any 'gift' over 40 value and that includes the cost of shipping

    Yet the lion king cot blanket took 2 days to arrive from Israel

    the customs charges are going to cost more than the actual puppet at this point
