I've just been watching the news and seen the devastation that the weather has caused :( It's just heartbreaking to see

My heart goes out to all the people who have lost their homes, family or friends.

We complain about the weather in the UK but in comparison we have got it lucky really.

It says that Georgia and Virginia have been affected as well, I hope USCwest and Johnie haven't had any.

Yep. It was a bit exciting here in Georgia last night.

Fortunately, we didn't have any damage. We had tornado warning sirens going off until about 1AM. After that it was just some rather severe thunderstorms. We were so tired by that time however that we slept through most of them. Today, I feel rather like a zombie.

Don't know about damage in Virginia. I do know that according to the official reports, there supposedly were no fatalities there so that's a bit of good news.

Seems like most of the severe damage occurred in Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio but other areas got in on the devastation also.

Tom (... glad that's over. Now maybe I can get some sleep.)

Glad to hear you're okay, Tom. I do hope that none of our friends have been affected.

Two towns in Indiana were just obliterated. I think one of the towns just doesn't exist anymore. It's devastating.

No worries Wendy. No particular reason why you should remember. Heck, sometimes I'm not too sure where I am.

Tom (... is fairly certain he's not in Kansas anymore Toto!)

No tornadoes in my part of VA, thank GOD! I haven't heard anything about up where John and Donna live.

The footage of what happened in IL is awful :-( And Dorothy is ok, they were getting snow yesterday when I spoke with her.

Donna mentioned heavy rain and thunderstorms when I talked to her. But remember I'm in Arizona right now. :) All we've had out here so far is HEAVY winds, several times.
