We have exactly 1 week to go until we check in at Pop Century and for the first time since I booked this trip I am getting excited. We will leave(NYC) on 8/15 at about 4:30 am and will drive to either Savannah or Brunswick Georgia. We will leave the following morning by 7-8 am and will go to POP in order to check in .We hope to be in Magic Kingdom by 2pm. We have an ADR that evening for dinner at Chef Mickeys at 9pm.
While I am on the the subject of dining these are my ADRs

    Dinners - Chef Mickey,Teppenyaki,50's Prime Time,Liberty Tree,Coral Reef
    Breakfast-Crystal Palace,1900 Park fare
    Lunch- Le Celier

With theses ADR's do you guys think it is worth paying for the meal plan or should we just pay out of pocket ?

Ohhhh, let me know how you like the Japanese, ok?

I'm so not a fan of the DDP, but with those ADRs you could probably save yourself quite a chunk of money. Someone more familiar with the DDP can tell you if they are all one "ticket" restaurants. I think they are, but am not positive.

Sounds great! I wish I could drive to WDW by car - all that stuff I could buy that I can't get on a plane!

I will be in California when you leave so let me wish you a WONDERFUL vacation!

It could save some money to add the dining plan. You have to pay the gratuity now.

The whole place has changed though Butter. Japan has completely redone all their restaurant and lounge areas. (With the exception of Yaki Tori House). So you are in for a new experience.

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess I could look up all the menu prices of the restaurants we have ADR's and then figure out the what the tip would be and see if it is worth paying for the dining plan but that is way too much work .

Lisa it isn't exactly a short ride it is about an 18 hour drive. I wish it was about 5 hours then we would go all the time.
