Anyone having a flutter on the Grand National?

It's the only race I bet on and I only do it because Dad always did. I only put a few s on though

    This year I've chosen:

    Junior 2 each way
Cappa Bleu - 3 each way
    Shakalakaboomboom - 3 each way

I always choose an outsider as well and that's Because I Couldn't See - 1 each way

If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.

I bought my dad and his partner tickets to the Grand National for Christmas. I sent them off this morning from Chester on the train to Aintree looking both excited and terrified as neither of them have ever travelled on a train without me. It was like sending a couple of my children off for the day, bless em. I do sometimes wonder when my dad became the child and I became the parent.

I haven't actually put a bet on myself but I have put in a claim on any winnings my dad may win lol.

Oh dear. :( That's truly a shame. We've had horses die as a result of racing here, too and it's always so very sad. Some break a leg, and that ends badly too.

Not sure what the answer is... but horses dying for the race can't be.
