I'm nearly at the end of my wits (such as they are). I've long been a light sleeper and wake easily. Now it's moved to chronic not sleeping beyond 4 hours a night and that's if I'm lucky. Usually it's broken segments, and then only for about 3 hours total.
I've started getting out of bed when I wake instead of tossing and turning. Much of it is "mental" as my thoughts are racing when I wake and I can't seem to drift back off because of them.
My doctor has prescribed a "light sleeper" that works for about four hours. She gave it to me to use when I wake in the middle of the night and have at least four hours left to sleep.
I have to get up so early to drive to work, that "four hours left to sleep" isn't working.
So, any suggestions or recommendations or advice for what may have worked for you?
I seriously just want some good sleep. Who knew it could be so debilitating to not get decent rest over a period of many months (pushing two years now).
