As you know I am making a wedding cake for our friends' son and his fiancee. The picture she gave me was very small and I have struggled to fing the entwined glass hearts for the top.

I spoke to Hannah (the fiancee) and explained, so she asked me to suggest some other ideas to her, so after lots of searching and with a little help from photoshop to give her an idea of what it will look like on her cake, she has decided on this:

My intention is to have this as the main topper and then to put a ring of small flowers around it. I might change my mind once I actually start designing it properly, but for now that is the idea :)

The wedding is 5 weeks away, so I will start to marzipan the cakes next week so that they can dry for a week before the icing goes on. I will also be starting to make the flowers, I know the colours, but because they are so bright, I'm going to have to make them and then paint each flower separately and that will take a while

I thought I could take on the journey with me and show you the different stages I get to along the way :D well that's if you would like me to :D

But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.
