Meanwhile DW is watching swimming and at least two other events on the laptop as well as texting me to find out the results of other stuff :/

Also, I have to say that the Red Button coverage thing on the BBC is amazing! The fact you can see whatever sport is going on at any time! The remote control is getting a hammering I have to say.
So excited about Becky Adlington - that was an AMAZING swim!!! Lots of jumping up and down here, shouting very loudly, and scaring all of the animals in the house
absolutely brilliant use of technology. We have a go at the beeb, justifiably a lot of the time, but the way they've covered the games has been nothing short of amazing.Originally Posted by Deb, post: 286705
I bet, and hope, that tons of young people have found themselves tuned into a sport they otherwise never would've thought about and perhaps been inspired by it.
Very proud of team GB , we are but a tiny little Isle in the grand scheme of things but I think we have put a team out for pretty much every single event.
Nothing , but nothing is more British than being the valiant underdog.
Ooo one more thing ... Absolutely no advertising in any of the arenas yet, have you noticed that
With you on that one for sureOriginally Posted by Skywatcher, post: 286719
I haven't watched enough to be honest but as I look now after you've mentioned it yep that's certainly true on the football. Surprising but excellent!Ooo one more thing ... Absolutely no advertising in any of the arenas yet, have you noticed that
