As I have said in other post myself and another mum are arranging a party for next year for the year 6 school leavers.
This will be for 49 age 11-12 year olds, we have already got a lovely venue and got transport booked.
I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas of things we could do for the evening that would make it a little bit more special.

Local rock climbing centre? The one I worked at took kids for parties for an hour and a half, giving parents some peace and quiet, and wore them out forcing them up walls. (the kids, not the parents... Obviously).

Good idea, but venue is booked and the theme is a prom party,
Don't think girls in dresses and boys in suits would be good on climbing Walls,

My daughters school did a garden style prom party. They all had personal invites sent to them through the post.
Each child was introduced as they came in which was lovely. They had fake champagne and a chocolate fountain.
They had a photographer, not a professional one, just one of the parents who took pictures of the party as well as individual photos and photos of 'couples'
These have all been put on a disc for the children to keep.

    We have got a photographer,(parent)
The fountain is a good idea,
I'll add that to our list of ideas.
