Cats will be showing at a local theatre on my next birthday and I can't decide if I want to book it it or not. We've seen lots of musicals and love them but I have to hold my hands up and admit I don't even know the storyline to Cats.

It was the worst 2 1/2 hours of my life LOL

I love musicals but I hated this, one good song in it and that's about it. I'm sure some people will like it though

I went to see it about 13 years ago with my granddaughter who was then 5 and she absolutely loved it. The 'cats' came through the audience before the show started and targeted little ones and oh my! were they good. The couple that came to us lay along the back of the seat purring and stroking my granddaughter's hand with their paws. When she stroked them, they rubbed their heads against her had like a real cat would do. She was absolutely mesmerised by them and also by the show. Because of this interaction I also thoroughly enjoyed it.

I loved it!!! You really do have to have a different mind set when you see it though. There is no talking, the whole story line is advanced with the lyrics of the songs and the physical acting/moving of the "cats"

I sort of umm...forgot to tell Bob that all the interaction between the characters was in song though, but he ended up saying that he liked it a lot.

I've seen it 3 times over the years. It's my favourite and I love all of the songs. I have to say that the experience differed in each theatre, the best being in London. If you do go, I suggest you listen to the cd before. :)
