Had an email last night about a new virgin seating offer.
It will give people the chance to pay to have the seat next to them empty.

Well the only price I could find was from 99.00, not sure what the availability will be as it can only be booked 72 hours before your flight.

That seems quite cheap, I wonder if its guaranteed? I'm sure if someone wanted to fly last minute they'd love to sell the seats. I think it's air New Zealand that do a similar thing and its a lot more for the seat, I'd want to buy 2 so I could lie flat I think. I've always said they should have multi tear bunk beds lol.

I can't see how they will have empty seats, every flight we've been on has been full.

I thought you could book it anywhere up to 72 hours before your flight, that's how I read it.

Personally I like the idea, hubby and I are pooh shaped and having a spare seat between the two of us would give us quite a bit more room :)
