A 1928 film poster of Mickey Mouse has been sold to a mystery buyer at an auction in Texas.

The color poster is one of the earliest surviving images of the iconic character, created by Walt Disney.

The poster of the iconic cartoon mouse belonged to the family of a deceased collector in Northern California. Crowell Havens Beech, a well-known Belvedere movie poster collector, bought the 1928 poster nearly 25 years ago.

At some point you have to realise that
some people can stay in your heart
    but not in your life.......

If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.
