About that time of year when I start jonesing for my dose of It's A Wonderful Life. It is coming to a local movie house and I want to see it...but I want to go here and experience it.

Senecca Falls NY is rumored to be the model for the fictional Bedford Falls in the movie....maybe this Christmas!!! I will be heading back to Pennsylvania to spend Christmas in Nazareth. No kidding Nazareth...just north of Bethlehem...really look it up.

    Anyhow...here is the link

Ahh... off to the Finger Lakes are we Dan?

If it's really the place they indicate it is, say hello to the pharmacist for me! :D

Good old Mr. Gower. I was reading the story about that scene in the movie. Apparently the pharmacist, Mr. Gower, really did smack the actor playing you George Bailey...really hard. He was acting scared...HE WAS. The hug that they shared was real, and full of actual remorse and sorry.

    I do love that movie.....

In years past, with my old projection system, I would invite a bunch of friends and their families to the planetarium to see a Christmas show followed by a classic movie...and the one I love the most got the most play...IAWL!

We of course had the whole museum to ourselves, as it was after hours. We would set up a bar, bring apps and deserts and generally enjoy the holidays.

My new system makes it really difficult to do that. Serious codec issues. The entire movie file would need to be converted. Grrr. I may just add a data projector and see what that looks like playing a DVD.

Our local art movie house has it this weekend.

My favourite movie. I cry at the ending, every time I watch it.
