I'm glad you finally got to see the doctor, I really do hope that the new meds will start to help ease the pain.

Unfortunately it seems the problems you've encountered getting an appointment is becoming the norm all over the UK. For our doctors now you can only book and appointment if it is an emergency, other than that you have to go to the drop in which is between 11 - 1. You have to expect to sit there for 2 hours, especially if you didn't get there just after 10 to get your name on the list first. Unfortunately for me I'm working at that time and as I'm self employed, if I don't work I don't get paid.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you're get your next appointment through quickly.
    Sam x

I use naproxen sodium for similar issues, Wendy and it really does work. You have to take it consistently though, and it will take a bit before you notice a true difference. NSAIDs such as that do work on inflammation. Even if you feel better, continue to take it. Good to hear something is going to move forward.

It may just be a coincidence, but since changing one of the pain relief meds and increasing one of my others, the pain has been bearable and I actually slept for 5 hours straight last night :) I feel so much brighter this morning not half here :D It's surprising what a little sleep can do for you
