Today our school held a Mother's Day concert just for us mummy's and it was performed by year 2 and 3 (6/7/8 year olds). We had official invitations last week, written by our children then we arrived today to be a beautifully decorated room with tables for us to sit at whilst we had cakes and teas/coffee. Each table had flowers made by the children, table confetti and programmes all designed and decorated by the children.

It was lovely to see these little people performing different dances and songs from around the world and in different languages too. Gethin was part of the USA and did street dancing, bless him. At the end the children all said that even though they had been round the world, their centre of their world was us. Naturally many of us mums were crying. There was so much effort put in by all, but especially by the staff, it really was a lovely thing to do.

I just felt I had to share this.

I know, we watched some of the video yesterday from our last trip to Disney in 2010 and I forgot how little they were. Gethin was only 4 then and Meg was 8, I didn't think that they had grown much, but boy they have.

Well, I'm not a Mum, but this sounds like a wonderful thing for the kids and you Mums. I know I've always gotten a treat watching our grandchildren perform when we have the chance.

Sam, what a lovely thing for the school to do My eyes sprang a leak just reading it :)
