Well I've managed to convince my friend that Disney is where it's at. She has always maintained that she wanted the children to see the world and that whilst she wasn't against Disney World she didn't really get it.

At Christmas her mother-in-law paid for all the family to go to Disneyland Paris. That was just enough to convince her that Florida may be something to consider in the future.

Now, after a days shopping, she agreed that it may be worth considering sharing a villa in the future, whilst they have their car and we have ours so that we can do our own thing if we want to.

Since then she has studied the Disney World website and has gone completely nuts. She's as excited as I am, I could have given her a test on Disney and she would probably have got every answer correct.

We were planning on May 2016, (I know a lifetime away) but she has suggested that perhaps by Christmas we could assess our finances and maybe make it a year earlier.

That is it, she has seriously got the bug.

If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.

Sounds like a true Disneyphile! :D

I would add a tiny note of caution though. Christmas season is crazy busy. If you've been during that time, then you understand what I mean. It might be worth considering a different time for visiting for a first time guest. There is so much to do at WDW, especially for the first time guest, that sensory overload can come into play.

I am remembering that first visit of mine, years and years ago. It was on December 27, a day visit to MK. I was so overwhelmed by all the guests, and the long queues, etc. that I actually came away not liking the experience and wondering what the heck people enjoyed about standing on line all day, including to use the bathroom...

So, all that to say, although a beautiful time of year, Christmas wouldn't be my first recommendation for the best time to visit for someone who's never been.
