    I can relate! I'm so not into the office holiday party scene! :)

    Our local venues book for the holidays in July and August--at least for the popular dates/times. And we have a lot of venues--from resorts to restaurants!

    I have booked my christmas day dinner. We are going to Lands end. One day of the year that i do not wish to cook and thankfully dh agrees. If we do not book by the end of August its hard to get some were decent. Of course dh makes me drive so he can drink, but a small penalty for not having to cook. I can drink when i get home.

    Places round here are starting to encourage us to "book early for Christmas". Got a feeling it's my turn to work this year though. :sigh;

    The in-laws are in Germany this year. We normaly have them here. My parents are coming though and dh uncle.
    If my dh offered to cook christmas day it would be cheese on toast
