Title says it all really! I always take things like Calpol and plasters etc but it's always a pretty last minute thought if I'm honest!
So what would be advisable to have in a first aid kit? We are a family of 2 adults, a 2 year old and a 6 year old.

I'm a real worrier so I like to have:
    antiseptic wipes
    antiseptic cream
    plasters, assorted sizes
    paracetemol
    antihistamines
    antihistamine cream
    sudocrem for sunburn

    Those are the basics.

Never thought of sudocrem for burns! I always just used it for nappy rash might be a useful thing to have.

We don't take one if we need anything, we pop down to Publix.

    Snap!

My theory is this if it's serious you go to hospital if it's a cut or bruise you can buy things from local shops. It seems pointless to me to carry it 'just in case' especially when space is at a premium.

Maybe I am wrong and one day I'll need the first aid kit!

We will only have a car for a few days so I won't be able to just pop out

I always take paracetamol sachets of calpol (easy to throw a couple in your park bag) sudacrem and wipes. Don't forget if you are in the parks they have the first aid buildings so you don't need to worry too much but I pop small things in so we don't need to go somewhere

I forget that everyone doesn't have a car

All the theme parks have basic first aid items for sale somewhere. You just need to ask because a lot of the time they are kept under the counter.

To be honest the only thing I pack is ibuprofen because I always get a headache on the flight.

I take paracetamol ans usually stock up with ibuprofen over there as you get big tubs for not much. I would take both for the kids with me. I also would take something like dioralyte for everyone and immodium just in case! You did ask
