    Quick straw poll -

Looking at booking next year's holiday to WDW already!

We could save 1000 if we fly with Monarch in their premium cabin landing in Sanford, compared to flying with Virgin Premium economy landing in Orlando International.

    What would you choose??

    Monarch for sure without hesitation

Premium economy is nothing special these days and very expensive re: charter airlines who often have more legroom etc.

Sanford v MCO is IMHO a non-issue. Although a truly boring airport, especially on the way back when waiting for a flight, Sanford is small enough to get through in almost no time at all. It's *ALWAYS* been much faster for me than MCO. It's a bit further out but that's really no hassle if you have a car, and only a bit more expensive in a town car.

I've always been a fan of Virgin since they started. They seemed to start with a great customer service ethic and competitive pricing. Over the years, the leg room has become uncompetitive despite refurbs and the prices have gone up relative to other airlines. Things have been taken away, no amenity kits on the way out for example. Champagne now called sparkling wine (probably cheaper), things changed in the meals too.

Premium economy is the one I really think has been hit hardest. Economy is still a "grin and bear it for 8hours" always has been. Upper class is always fantastic... but premium is so close to economy IMHO :/ At least at one time I could book upstairs in the bubble but even that is now half economy.

So yeah, if you can save 1000 as well, no brainer IMHO

Definitely fly with Monarch, the money you save will go towards your accommodation costs :D

also with Monarch we can stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge.... I am not sure if I prefer Animal Kingdom or Coronado Spring Resort.....

Flying with Monarch and staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge is 1000 cheaper than flying with Virgin PE and staying at Coronado Spring Resort.

Having said that, it is our 10th anniversary next year and want to have wonderful experience from when leaving the house and coming back. I am not sure if Monarch can do this. Also there is no subtitles programs on Monarch flight but Virgin does this.

    So confusing!

It is a lot to think about, but I guess you could take your own films to watch. It's very poor that they don't have subtitles

People who have stayed at AKL have said how nice it is.

What exactly is the difference between Monarch's premium economy and Virgin's

1,000 will pay for a lot of extra special things to do for your anniversary

If it was a choice of Animal Kingdom or Coronado Springs, I would definitely go with Monarch to achieve this although I am a great fan of Virgin and have always had a great service with them. I've stayed at Coronado Springs and although it was good, it's not a patch on Animal Kingdom.

amazing they don't have subtitles :/ like we're still living in the 1800s :/

STILL, I *LOVE* animal kingdom lodge, I mean I really do adore that resort. It's brilliantly themed and you feel so immersed in the place. I remember the african music at the bus stops and the great lobby when returning. Just love it and that's even without a savannah room which of course makes it even more special

We went to animal Kingdom for dinner last year we were impressed but felt very 'grown up' maybe it just us.

Coronado spring resort is really beautiful resort.

    Sigh!

yeah I mean I've stayed at both and it's weird how perceptions can be different isnt it? To be coronado was very convention-centre with tons of people in suits and convention wear wandering around. The lakeside was beautiful but the bus service was awful.

To me, and I realise just my opinion, AKL is a huge step up from coronado.

but very definitely each to his own
