My eldest son josh has a doctors appointment for suspected autism on Tuesday . I've thought it for a while as my brother has it and the way he acts is exactly how my brother did growing up. Feeling sad .. His behaviour sometimes is so awful and now I can't stop thinking about how his little head must feel . So confused :(

I'm sorry to hear this Natalie I can understand you being worried, but try not to, see what the doctor says at his appointment. Stay strong

Thank you everyone . I grew up with my brother the same so the signs I've been noticing for a good couple of year, but when I took him 2 years back they said it was just change and he was acting out , one of the signs of my brothers autism was he didn't deal well with change and since the baby has been born he's gotten worse . I'm lucky I have my mum to help me as she went through it all .. It's been picked up when he's been at school that's why the referral was made . I guess ill find out more on Tuesday . Thanks for the long words

When my son was in year 2 his teacher was adamant that he had Aspergers. We have followed the paths necessary and eventually, 3 years later, we are told that he doesn't. He has some autistic traits and his social skills are underdeveloped. He's different for sure but he's still our boy and he's awesome. But, during the 3 years we sought an answer, the support we had on here was amazing. And continues to be amazing. Stick around here and you'll get all the hugs, support and advice you'll need.

Thank you. I will be sticking around here it's full of such lovely people . Josh is such a lovely boy but his outbursts can be so awful and I sometimes feel like I don't know how to handle it or what to do .. It helps to just vent sometimes to help cope with it all
