I had my appointment with the consultant this morning and he was disappointed that the operation to my right knee wasn't as successful as he'd hoped. He examined my left knee and said that it might benefit from an arthroscopy but that it is stage 4 so I might have the operation and nothing will change. He's left it to me to make the decision.
I also told him how worried I was about our holiday this year and he has said that he will give me a steriod injection in both knees the day before we leave, (I did make him laugh because I said Chris would have to wait outside otherwise he would probably pass out as he hates needles ) He said that it will reduce the inflamation and as I haven't had one before it will probably give me relief for a little while. He doesn't think it will be long time relief, but it should be long enough for the holiday.
So that's something to look forward to an injection in each knee the day before we leave for Gatwick
it will work and I can have a partly pain free holiday. We are both looking forward to it soooo much and it would be a lot less stressful without 2 sticks.
