Totally agree Keith. I'm just waiting for the teacher bashing to start tomorrow. Although I doubt it'll make the national news as it's not happening in London yet ;):D
sigh :( and then it starts doesn't it. All the moderate teachers will, rightly, start to feel picked on, they'll get more militant and complain all over the place, so the public will get worse and before long you have us and them - blam, nationwide strike.Originally Posted by Vikki, post: 322054, member: 106
hah! how true is THAT!Although I doubt it'll make the national news as it's not happening in London yet ;):D
I know the state of Florida workers (for the social services departments, not sure about the prison system) have not had a raise or cost of living adjustment since 2007. I know also that they are often working for wages in the mid to high 20's. Yes, as in 25,000. I truly don't know how some people (many people!) make ends meet.
Vikki, I'll have him on the plane at the weekend. When you realize the mistake you've made, send the little sweetie boy on down to our Wendy. :D
Well I asked our teacher's union rep about a strike taking place today and she knew nothing about it.
Well it made it into the news here this morning
If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.
