    I've got a dilemma .
A few years ago we stayed in akl and loved it. We sayed on the concierge level.
we are now looking to book for next year, but we don't know if we should return to akl or try somewhere different. We do know that we want to stay concierge again.

    any suggestion ?...

Well, concierge is pricey so it's important to be sure that you are going to be happy with what you are getting. I've only ever stayed at the Poly on Concierge, and it was very nice. The concierge bit, I mean. I wasn't thrilled with the Polynesian.

I really like the Beach Club, and I know they have concierge there.

It's truly up to you and your family, eh? What do you want to do; go with the known and previously enjoyed or experience something new?

Is the AKL visit your only experience at WDW? I think I would try another resort but that's a personal preference. Is there a particular theming you like? Would you want to be closer to MK or Epcot?

I REALLY love akl. There's such a great feel to it with the music everywhere and a kind of excited quietness to the lobby. I've not stayed there in ages and I miss it.

You could mix a couple of resorts in the same trip? I often do that.

If you like the layout of AKL, you'll like the wilderness lodge which is the same style. Of course WL is just a lovely boat ride across to the magic kingdom and is always a better price than the GF/poly/contemporary.

I can't recommend the polynesian. I know people love it but every time we've stayed it's just been blah.

The contemporary I love because I love looking out at the castle and walking to Magic Kingdom but it's perhaps the least disneyish hotel.

The Grand floridian is complete elegance :)

I really love EPCOT but again, yacht club/beachclub etc never really amazed me. Partly because I spent so little time there. Whereas with AKL, it was like a destination in its own right, with those epcot resorts, once out of room I was pretty much out of the hotel and that was that.

I've been to BC concierge 3 times. I really loved it, the food offerings were superb, the two CM's on duty to assist were so helpful and everything was wonderful. If you like the proximity to Epcot and HS then I would highly recommend it. I've also heard that the Boardwalk concierge is really good.

Haven't stoPped at concierge and don't even know if they have one but can I vote for wilderness lodge.

Its a beautiful resort and often overlooked.

Its a lot smaller than the others but it's my favourite resort at Walt Disney world.

I too am not over impressed with the Poly, however I know full well that there are loads of folks on here who love the place, but to me it somehow feels a bit dark and gloomy, not to mention a bit rowdy around O`Hana`s...however each to their own eh?

We adore the GF and have stayed there loads of times.
Last year we were given a complimentary up-grade to Concierge in the Sugar Loaf building at this resort which made a change.
As I am a "bacon and egg" breakfast person when on holiday, and both myself and my DW prefer to enjoy dinner without being stuffed from all of the snacks on offer with concierge during the day, I personally prefer to stay in the regular accommodation.

Still it was nice to be able to experience concierge at no extra cost in order to see what it was like and I can fully appreciate why some folks swear by it.

I didn't think that much of the Poly concierge when we stayed. Staff were very indifferent. Love the location though and the restaurants. Our ground floor room had a view of the castle and I could lie in bed with the lights out watching the fireworks over the castle

That's what I love about the contemporary. After a day out and about I can sit on the balcony watching all the buses leave and then it's just me and the castle :) (and you know, the several hundred people cleaning the park and restocking the shops but I can't see them ;-)

I am one of those that absolutely LOVE the Poly. The South Seas atmosphere, the longhouses, the tiki torches at night, strolling through the tropical gardens, the music, watching the fireworks from the beach, Dole whips, the Luau.....need I go on? :-)
