    Mushroom things

    Blue butterfly.

Thanks for the kind words Jazmine.

Today i only had my small camara with me,its a Canon powershot S5 IS bridging camara, and to be honest it gives my 40D a run for its money.

We are off to the flowershow in Southport tomorrow,I will of course be taking my Canon 40D and my 100-400 lens, so lots of pics to come over the next 4 days we will be there.

I would recommend the Canon powershot to anyone looking to buy a new camara.

    Interesting imagery Magical Moments.

Good to see you where shooting in Southport.

I especially like the mushrooms / toadstools. I think you need to lower yourself slightly though and shoot from the ground. You will then make it a more interesting vantage point rather then just seeing the tops. It should also add a bit of depth of field for you.

Lower herself to the ground. See? I wouldn't think of that. How would you add depth?

The photos are lovely Liz! I love the blue butterfly too!

    Tink,
By shooting with a lower aperture number, like F2.8 or F4.0 it will allow the background to blur, and will focus on the subject.

Lots of ways you can shoot the mushroom with it being still and not moving. Depth, same as before, shooting low will make shadow show a little more, so it will naturally add depth, then boost the contrast slightly.

    Magical Moments,
You dont have too :) There are ways and means. Get yourself an 'anglefinder' and it should stop you getting dirty.

It's a great little camera when you dont want to carry the big kit around. Will do close up macro as well as telephoto (12x zoom & 48x digital) Digital quality pretty good.
