Do you have a first day tradition when you go to DISNEY
Normally, after we check in, we head to DTD and the Margarita Bar.

After check in, but before going to the villa, we have a drink at the Gurgling Suitcase (OKW). It's a tradition that started with our first visit and we've carried it through each stay there. When we aren't at OKW we still seek out that "first drink of the holiday" but it's not quite the same as kicking it off at OKW.
For us it`s always a trip to DTD where we have coffee sitting outide Gasparilla`s, followed by a walk around the shops to get into the Disney spirit.
This is followed by lunch at the Earl of Sandwich and dinner at the YSH.
This is the programme that we have stuck with for our trips for many years by now.
The first day tradition depends on when we arrive.
If we arrive on a Friday night after having driven right from work, we will check in and then head to Kona Cafe for dinner and then spend the evening checking out the monorail resorts (Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Contemporary). Second choice is going to DTD for dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express and spending the evening walking around.
If we arrive on a Saturday morning, we will check in and then head to the Poly for breakfast at Captain Cook's for Tonga Toast.
