We're thinking of trying to get a reservation at ohanas for dinner and I wondered what it would be like?

Has anyone been recently? What kind of meats do they serve?

We were there a couple of weeks ago and loved it.
They served a salad to start then pork dumplings, chicken wings and noodles.
They brought round steak, pork and king prawns on skewers and you could have as much as you wanted.

It's one of our favorites and the first place we eat on arrival day. They come around with all the starters first and then they come around with the meat on huge skewers. You can eat as much as you like and we usually overeat big time

We went a few weeks ago and the food was superb. I would suggest asking them to bring it slowly though, as it was way too fast for our liking. Also, if we went again, we'd ask them to bring smaller portions, the portions were huge and there was a lot of waste, which really concerns me.

You forgot chicken, too! All meats are marinaded (gluten-free) and then cooked on spits over a fire. There is also a vegetable side (broccoli mostly, but other veggies) served along with the noodles, potstickers, etc.

Brought to the table first is a pineapple-coconut dinner bread and dessert is a pineapple bread pudding served with ice cream and bananas foster sauce. All sides and dessert are served family style and they will replenish anything you would like. In June, my son and my nice managed to kill 2 entire bread puddings.

They definitely still do the coconut races, but we left before Wishes started. My niece worked there until the beginning of August on the college program and according to her they still did when she was there.
