Has anyone tried both the longhorn or mannies chop house?

Or perhaps some other places would be better?

Out of the two, I'd choose Longhorns
This is hubby's fave place to eat in Orlando.
    My fave steakhouse is Outback.

They don't seem to do very many sauces :/ I'd kinda like peppercorn or red wine or something

If that's the outback chain, same as in Orlando International airport, I find them really mediocre but consistent. Far from good quality but a reliable enough taste. I don't know if the ones out of the airport are any better?

tbh maybe that's my problem with longhorn too, I may be expecting too much

Yes Keith, I think you are. Longhorn is an "everyday" steakhouse. Nothing fancy and absolutely nothing out of the ordinary. You go there for supper. For dinner you choose Ruth's Chris or something like that.

Now, load of folks love Manny's chophouse, but we much prefer Longhorn. We don't like Outback at all. However, Outback and Longhorn are in the same category (price point) if you will. Nothing special or fancy about either one.

ok I think that explains it just fine to me. A "normalish" everyday supper, longhorn, a nice special dinner, ruth's chris.

Yes. Ruth's Chris you could ask for a sauce and expect the chef to be able to create one for you. At Longhorn it's line cooks, so they don't create, rather follow instructions.
