The Magic Kingdom's monorail system will be temporarily suspended during non peak times, between 11am and 6pm for the next two weeks. The temporary closure is because of construction work at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and this will mean that the monorail beam will be out of service.

The closure begins today, 6th October 2013 and hopefully the work will be completed within the next two weeks, weather permitting. Guests may use watercraft and bus transportation to travel to their destinations.

The Magic Kingdom express monorail beam and the Epcot beam will continue normal operation.
