In December we'll be staying mostly off site but for a few days onsite in the middle of the holiday and for that time we've already customised the magic bands.

Now our park tickets will be one annual pass and one UK ultimate 21 day ticket. Will we be able to add those to the band and therefore keep using the bands for the following year for access?? (well for the AP at least, the 21 day ticket will of course expire after 21 days)

Oh I don't know! That would be pretty neat, but I wonder if it's possible. We'll have to check it out. If we ever get to DTD to renew Herself's AP I'll ask.

Annual Passholders aren't able to get the magic bands at the moment, but from what I heard from someone very reliable, is that cast members are trialling bands as passholders. Whether or not by the time you get there they will have sorted it out I don't know.

One thing I am pretty sure on is that the UK 21 ultimate pass can't be added to a band. You can change it for a RFID card though, so that will help getting into the parks.

Your bands will only work whilst you are staying at Disney, when you leave they won't work anymore, so I guess you have to keep your fingers crossed that the magic bands are available for AP holders.

Wonder why the 21 day pass doesn't work.

If you are staying on site for the whole 21 days then they might be able to add it, after all they can change it to a RFID ticket, but Keith is only staying onsite for a few days, so I don't think they will be able to do it

    Howdy,

yep, the bands will for sure only work for MOST things for the days we're there, that much I'm sure about. Whether the passes can be put on bands who knows. Given they do the AP rfid cards now, I'm not sure there would be any difference from a band but perhaps it's just too soon.

I guess we'll find out though

For our trip just last week, we had our APs connected to our Magic Bands, but we were also staying onsite...so still can't give you a completely definitive answer.
