I think it's because they don't have a huge store operating cost like they used to. We have a single Blockbuster store left in the entire city. I wouldn't have known that existed if Alysia hadn't had to go get some old films for a class

    Yep, they are super cheap.

I miss going to the dvd rental store. I would walk up and down the aisles. I'd rent some of the older ones for a $1. It's one of those things that wont be coming back.

This is exactly why I love the bookstore. Libraries too

y'all will have the same in the brave new digital world you'll just be able to choose from thousands on your tv and they'll be there. At the start it may not feel as enjoyable as walking around the video store but give it a couple of years, with google glass and other virtual reality devices and you'll be surprised

It's kinda like the lost art of walking around a library. Smelling the books, making the effort to look around, and checking out the new arrivals.

Nah, it's just one more chore to go get a movie and remember to return it! That's if they have what you want to watch, now we have a good broadband speed it's great to download the latest blockbuster without having to go anywhere!

I agree, Chris connected my laptop or his iPad to the TV when we were away and we were able to watch whatever we liked including programs that we watch at home. I know it's a small amount I couldn't be bothered with it.
