In a couple of years it will be dh's 40th birthday! I am already thinking about where we could go and what we could do - got a couple of ideas which I think he will like.
Anyway, was just wondering how you marked the coming of a "big" birthday or did you let is quietly pass by?

nope! Jon said he didn't want anything for his birthday, just a family meal out with the 4 of us so i arranged for some of his friends to meet us at the restaurant - couldn't let him completely get away with it!

For DW's 50th I took her to Disney, we had a limo from/to the airport, stayed at the GF, ate at V&A and visited the parks.

We never actually celebrated my 40th on the actual day, I'm not one for parties or a big fuss being made.

We did go on holiday in the September though so I say it was for my 40th :D It was a holiday I'll never forget and it was very tiring as we went to LA, Vegas, Hawaii and San Francisco.

We also renewed our wedding vows on the beach in Hawaii :D

But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.

Oh wow, you've all celebrated it in fab ways!!
Jonnie, we're both quite shy and quiet people - he would hate loads of attention and people looking at him so a party is not an option! We will do a few things I think, some together as a family (just the 4 of us) and it would be nice if dh and I could get away for a weekend on our own. I'm thinking about booking a holiday for us all and doing some experience things while we're away - one of them would be involving big cats I think, he would love that
