It's not too bad here at the moment. A bit windy and rainy but nothing like a few weeks ago. Stay safe everyone

Cold, wet with really strong winds. Glad we're safely indoors.

4am and listening to the wind. Our fence is still intact though. Friends of ours have lost part of their roof. Going round later to see if we can help.

Wow, that was one rough night, there just seems to be no let up :(

When it gets light Chris will go out and look at the roof, he thought he heard tiles coming off last night.

I'm supposed to be at the butchers at 8am but the road to get there is flooded. What a wonderful thing to wake up to on Christmas Eve

My mum and dad live practically underneath the Humber Bridge and said it was very slow going over there yesterday.

The weather seems to be moving away from us now, the wind has gone down and we have blue sky, if you look carefully.

We've lost some tiles from the roof and we won't be able to get anyone round until after the New Year now as people with a slate roof are being given priority.

Chris says it shouldn't be too bad as we have tar paper under the tiles so the water shouldn't come in

We were very lucky compared to some of our neighbours.

Stay safe everyone up North, the bad weather is heading your way

Massive tree 3 doors down now laying across 3 gardens. If it had fallen a different way would have hit their house. Got soaked walking dogs this morning but looks like our town just missing a lot of fence now. Haven't been done to seafront though. The coast road was closed yesterday because of the wind. We are dog sitting for the friends with slightly less roof than they had yesterday. Could be worse...

Oh dear, the bad weather has now reached us up in the North East of Scotland, lovely sunshine but oh my goodness the wind!! I keep waiting to hear if any tiles are coming off my roof, too scared to go out and look in case I get blown away. I spoke to DS this morning and I put the phone outside the door and he asked if it was traffic going by and I had to explain that it was just the noise of the wind. Back to housework and hiding presents for treasure hunt tomorrow.

Terrible weather here too, I hope everyone is OK.

In fact, it was so bad, I started looking for flights for a short 'hop' to Florida!
