We may be able to get a "groups" addon for the forums if you'd all prefer that ? I think it can then be set to public or only allow members etc?

Is that better than just having a thread?

The only thing with groups is that I tend to forget about them- they don't come up in the new posts do they?

It differs in each forum software and this doesnt come with groups, it's something other people have written. I know new posts in the group will come up in the "newsfeed" feature but I dont know if they'll come up in new posts. That's why I tended to forget about groups in the old software I must admit

We could just setup a thread or even a forum section for it... whatever people prefer really :)

Maybe a forum section, although that is the most elaborate. We could control access so only registered members could see and participate in the discussions there. That way we could start threads on different aspects of the topic, yet keep them all neat and tidy in their own forum.

Welcome to our new home! It's a lovely and friendly place. If you haven't joined yet, do register. It's a great place to make friends and share all those Disney secrets!!

We could add a sub-forum in Chit Chat and then different threads can be started in there rather than one long thread.

Chit Chat is already private for members only and it would show in new posts whenever there was a new thread or replies, exactly the same as as happens now. It would be open to all members to see not just those that choose to join in.

Can I just say though that there is no way I will post a before photo

I love the "sub forum" idea :) we could have different posts for different aspects - recipes, exercise, progress, etc. rather than one long, unwieldy thread. I know it's a bit more work, but with so much interest, it might be worth it!

I'm awful at resolutions, but I'm pretty good at goals, so that's what I've made. I started a weight loss goal in August of last year, and it's going well so far. We also set a money saving goal (the 52-week challenge), and a volunteerism goal. It'd be great to have a new place to chat about those!

So, what would we call this group if it is possible to set something up :)

What about something like, "Motivation and Milestones"

Something to signify that we want to support each other by helping each other stay motivated AND celebrate milestones? Whether they be health, wealth, or service oriented...
