Well looks like another beautiful day for a launch from Virginia's space port, Wallops Island. About an hour to go before launch. For those on the east coast you may catch a glimpse of the Antares rocket and Cygnus replenishment capsul. Target .... the ISS. I have seen some night launches from my city some 96 miles to the south. It should be cool. Unfortunately, I will be in the planetarium (unless I slip out while the show is on).

    Here is the live launch:

Well I decided to slip out and try to get a picture of what I can see from my museum. Sort of in the right direction. Just have to get the show started early.

Just got back from a quick jaunt over to the sea wall

There was some low scud so not great view. The night launches are really a lot more spectacular.

Well with their new NASA contract it will be happening more and more. Something like six more launches from Wallops to ISS in the next two years.

I was trying to explain the a Eastern Shore to my boss. She wasn't grasping how remote it is. I was telling her that the only jobs out that way were entry level service positions or you literally have to be a rocket scientist lol
