What things do.you remember in Orlando that is no.longer there such as the Mercado ,Dolly partons show
Ages ago, there used to be a place on Church St. (funny that) called Church St. Station. It had several different types of bars/lounges in it. A coffee house style place, Rosie O'Grady's (gay nineties, rag time) a C&W place, a rock place. Was seriously fun to go to. Miss it.
I liked it because you could move from one area to another, when you got tired of one type of music. It was always pretty busy! I don't know why it closed. There were several, but I don't remember where the others were. One was on the panhandle, I know.
We went there on our first trip, it was really good. It was an organised trip through the travel agency and they had a bus that took us and picked us up. We were advised not to go on our own for some reason.
If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.

A friend is a hand that is always holding yours,
no matter how close or far apart you may be.
A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care.
A friend is a feeling of forever in the heart.
Still have my souvenir glass from Rosie's. :D
I had a nice day at Boardwalk and Baseball on my first trip and also a couple of lovely days at Cypress Gardens.
I miss the Mercado - it was a nice layout with loads of little shops. The Titanic exhibition used to be there before it relocated too.
I also miss all the Edwin Watts golf shops on International Drive - it was great just popping in and browsing all the stuff.
OMG, Mairead! I do! Totally forgot about it until you said that though! :D
Mercado was neat. I remember being there ages ago. Had a good afternoon of poking around here and there in shops.
