I think it was something like cornmeal made into a loaf shape and then slices are cut off and fried. I was on the Fencing team at Michigan and we stopped at a Bob Evans on the way to a tournament but we were all too scared to order the fried mush.
Just want to point out that restaurant eggs typically come in jugs. They don't have time to break shells so it is very rare to have that.
We tried Perkins and were not impressed. It is Shoney's without the salad bar.
I guess it's what you are used to. Over here the Perkins equivalent would be the Little Chef which is completely rank. Compared to that Perkins is a gourmet experience. And I like their twinberry syrup on their french toast. :wink:
