it's been a while since i've been with little ones and i can't remember what there is for them. Also what sort of age did people's kids meet the minimum height for big thunder and splash mountain kind of rides?

Height requirements are so hard to predict (well, when a child would reach them). Each kiddo is so different. There is tons for them to do in MK, of course and quite a bit in AK. Some in DHS, and EPCOT tries. :D

Universal Studios has a great area for youngsters including the Curious George water play area - we had to be dragged out of there.

Yeah, at 3 or 4, the kids are pretty much restricted to the kiddie sections of each park. The real exception is at MK, where there is plenty of atmosphere/parades/fireworks for them to enjoy... if they have the patience to wait.

When we went to the parks with young 'uns, we only ever toured for a couple of hours before stopping for a break or leaving the park for a while altogether.

Ben went on everything apart from Test Track, Rock n Rollercoaster and Primeval whirl when he'd just turned 4.

is he tall for his age? i know it's a wait and see... Erin will be a few months off 4. I'm guessing Test Track etc won't be too much of a bother to her, i can see it being Aunty Ju Jus entertaining her while everyone goes on the scary rides. I have my uses ;)

Lilly could do all but the "bigger" rides (RnRC, BTM, SM, ToT, etc). She LOVED Kali River Rapids! Of course, having been there so often, Jon and I took TOTAL JOY in sending her parents off with Andrew and Baleigh to ride the "gairy" rides while Jon and I took her and Thomas on the "kiddie" rides. What an incredibly fun moment to experience Disney fresh and new again....makes my heart melt just thinking about it.

One thing I might suggest still at that age though is a stroller...especially if you're planning on spending long days at the park.

    34" for the barnstormer, so 2 1/2 -3
40" for most coasters so 3 1/2- 4 depending on how tall they are

Ava managed the barnstormer in the summer, aged 2 1/2.
