A man after my own heart. I don't get my bangs trimmed too short. Otherwise they shrink up.
Life is like music; it must be composed by ear, feeling, and instinct, not by rules.
Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.
Where words fail, music speaks.
Those who dance are thought to be quite insane by those who can not hear the music.
Oh good heavens! At least he didn't get a mohawk! Just saw one of those the other day. Not too sure what anyone sees in them. You know? That style has been around forever it seems. I remember my brother BEGGING for one waaaaay back when. He did not get one.
Hope the 'cut' didn't cost too much!
Josh is your hair curly? I think curly hair is beautiful, but that is because I have the worst pin straight, fine, thin, limp hair ever. :sigh;
I have considered a perm, but am terrified of coming out looking like a poodle. :(
Well, must say, I use the term mohawk losely...he didn't get the sides shaved, only cut a bit shorter than the middle bit...and the center bit is mostly just gel'd into a little tidal wave down the middle...it's not a foot tall and spikey or anything too dramatic...I think he called it a "Fauxhawk" And when he needs to, he can comb it down and look "proper" :DOriginally Posted by Tink, post: 47910
I have to say...am a tiny bit jealous of Andrew's, it's such a lovely color, and it does that little "flippy" thing on the ends that I've always *wished* mine would do to no avail...
I had a perm once...it was not pretty. Not. At. All.
Josh, you might just need something to control the frizzies. My hair kinks and waves and is very thick, which makes it bushy. Leu bought me some frizz control stuff by Bumble & Bumble, which works great. Laminates by Sebastian (that's been around for a while--not sure if it's still available) is another good one. There are a number of other brands on the market. You just have to experiment to find the right amount for your hair--or, at least, I do! I seem to have missed the hair style gene!
Returning to the original subject, I like all of the poll options.
Becca, just how big is this ipod?
Based on the tiny size of the ones I've seen, I went with #3. The others would have to be micro-engraved and read with a magnifying glass! ;)
And I really do like it best! :)
I like the idea of a line from one of his favorite songs, but I also liked #2.
LOL Taja!! It's not huge, but they *would* fit :D Must say though, I like third one as well.
I really liked Tink's suggestion...but they boy doesn't have a favorite song apparently....he likes about 15 concurrently....and I've been his mother long enough to know that what he likes right now he may not like in five minutes (may I draw your attention to girlfriend #18 (of the week) as exhibit A?)
Did raise a funny story though...I was chatting about it with a girlfriend of mine, and she said, "Oh what a great idea, I do something similar when friends of ours get married...I make them a piece of pottery with the first line of their wedding song on it..." I thought that was a perfectly LOVELY idea until Jon started laughing HYSTERICALLY. WHAT???? Turns out, upon further examination, the first line of the song Jon and I have chosen for our wedding song (Taking You Home, by Don Henley) is "I had a good life, before you came..."
That might not make such a nice wedding gift, I suppose :D
In that case, just pick the most appropriate line in the song!Originally Posted by Beccaberry, post: 47943
